Attempting to hook up tailwheel

Tail Wheel

Dropped by Ace after work and finally was able to get the 1/8" Quick Links that I needed to connect the tailwheel springs. Hooked them up and thought the chains were too loose. Decided to bring them in one more link on the chains and found the springs were too tight to hook them up by hand. Karin caught me working on the plane after I said I was heading for bed so I quit. I think I'll use some rope and lever the chain into position.

Removed the clamps to the trim tab elevator support and discovered that wood glue does not bond to epoxy finish. My thought is to sand the finish down and use epoxy glue instead.
