Cut ribs and spars for vertical stabilizer

Started cutting the ribs and spars for the vertical stabilizer. To cut the slots for the hinge, I drilled a 1/4” hole at one end of the line where the hinge will go. I then took a jig saw and, with the scroll blade, cut on the line. [This comes back to haunt me later] I then took a 1/4” dowel and glued it in the hole I drilled. Then I laid the hinge over where the slot is and marked the holes for the bolts. [Again, this will haunt me later and create extra work for me.] Now when I get the rudder done and slip the hinges together, I'll have the vertical tail done.
