Oil pan discovery

I removed the oil pan today and discovered chunks of brass laying there looking back at me much to my disappointment. I've now decided that not only am I replacing all the gaskets but I'm also replacing all the bearings as well. Also, I need to remove the oil pump to see if that needs to be replaced as well especially in light of the brass pieces. If the oil pump has damaged the engine block, I’m not sure I can really consider this engine usable. My hope is that it can be saved but at this point I need to consider all of my options.
