Wing spars

I went shopping at Lowes today and got a table saw for my new collection of tools. Maria commented that she never thought of me as one of those dads. I hope it was a compliment. Because I couldn't leave the saw a virgin, I got some spruce along with it to cut. I was careful to make sure it had at least 6 grains per inch, grain ran 15:1, and was free of defects. The local lumber guy was very helpful and interested in what I was doing unlike Home Depot. Tested a couple sample pieces and was very pleased with the results. Went home and started stripping the wood to make my spars.
