The aluminum I ordered from Aircraft Spruce for the wing struts arrived last Wednesday in the mail. Today, I was able to finally start working on them after pouring over the plans waiting for it to arrive. Cut the 1x1 aluminum bar on Sunday and drilled the hole for it this evening. With the temps hovering around 115, it's too hot to work very long in the garage without getting sick. About 20 mins is all I can do before having to take a break inside with the A/C. Marked the U-channel but did not drilling or cutting on it yet.
Neglected my log for a while so I needed to play catch up and get my logs back up to date before continuing. I was out of work too so I didn't feel like I could work on my airplane even though it did help me feel better. It's funny how I tend to punish myself for something that I can't control and neglect the thing that will help me out. I have a job that I've actually been trying for years earlier and wasn't able to secure it at that time. Now, it appears I've developed the skills that I was missing then and was able to get it.
