I just created a mess. I took some knotty pine to use as a straight edge and clamped the stack between them. I took the workbench inside to keep it from getting too cold and leaned it against the book shelf in the bedroom. I let them cure for 36 hrs. and then the real fun began. Found my big screwdriver I use to work on the brakes and got some of it loose. Really reefed on it and it came loose... along with part of the work table. I was able to get the knotty pine loose with some work but seems I ended up gluing the stack to my workbench. I ended up getting the stack loose but not without some damage to the leading edge and the workbench. Karin now thinks that the glue will be strong enough to hold the plane together. Now, I need to find my chisel and see if I can save this.
